Thai Street Food in 2015
If you are lucky enough to have visited Thailand, you will have come across the abundance of Thai street food stalls that are part of every major city and town in all corners of Thailand. Always an interesting experience … but, it’s a good idea to get some guidance from a local Thai, so you don’t buy food from a vendor who’s food safety practices could be questionable. Also remember that the Thais’ eat this food everyday and may have built up a resistance to something that will often not sit to well in your stomach. Also a word of warning, never drink water that has not come from a sealed bottle. According to local doctors, (who treat many foreigner with stomach upsets, diarrhoea and vomiting), this is the most common cause of sickness that may be wrongly attributed to food poisoning. Also be very careful about the ice that goes into your scotch & coke, you will not know if it was made with good or bad water … until it’s too late!
But don’t be put off trying Thai street food … just be a little cautious and you will enjoy the experience.
